Avionics in the aeroplane for hire
Review the avionics in the aeroplane for hire and download the user manuals
To ensure compliance with regulation 61.385 of the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations 1998, pilots who plan to hire the aeroplane must thoroughly familiarise themselves with the operation of the aircraft’s avionics systems. In particular, proficiency in using these systems is essential not only for meeting general competency requirements but also for ensuring the highest standards of safety during flight operations. Moreover, the avionics include flight control, navigation, communication, and engine monitoring systems that significantly enhance pilot awareness. Therefore, user manuals are provided below to assist pilots in their review. Additionally, for further details, please refer to the Airplane Flight Manual Supplements, which are included in the Pilot’s Operating Manual, by clicking here.

More about the aeroplane
Pilots hiring the aeroplane should recognise the important interconnection between the Digital Autopilot (GFC-500), GPS Navigator (GNX-375), Electronic Flight Instruments (G5/AV-30-C), and the Engine Analyser/Fuel Flow Computer (EDM-830). Together, these systems deliver real-time flight control, navigation, flight data, and engine performance metrics, thereby enabling a seamless flow of essential information across the cockpit. This interconnected functionality not only allows pilots to make precise navigational adjustments but also to closely monitor engine health and fuel efficiency—both of which are vital for maintaining safe and efficient flight operations.
Furthermore, the removal of the vacuum system reflects the absence of any vacuum-driven instruments in the aeroplane. As a result, this change reduces the risk of instrument failure and simplifies maintenance. Although the plane does not have a VOR/LOC/GS navigation receiver, the GNX-375 offers highly reliable navigation capabilities. When set to OBS mode, it functions much like a VOR receiver, providing comparable course guidance through the analogue CDI, G5 and dual AV-30-C.
